Another charming Bavarian alpine municipality you will enjoy roaming around in.
It is well known for it’s "Lüftlmalerei", mural paintings on houses with often religious themes, depicting local stories or fairy tales, these decorations along with flower boxes on the windows are common throughout the alpine area.
Local fame comes also from the long tradition of woodcarving, with these artisans displaying their wares in dozens of shops and not all carvings are of religious nature as is shown by the angel head on the right.
Well worth a visit even without any festivals scheduled.
