Dachau:

Local spelling:

Dachau

A city with a 1200 year history is home to a historically renowned arts and cultural scene still celebrated with the Castle concerts and the Music summer. Human presence here can be established as far back as the Stone Age and later on it was occupied by the Romans. Many people working in the close by city of Munich call this town their home.

But nowadays the city’s fame comes from it’s proximity to the infamous concentration camp, the first in Nazi Germany, established as camp for political prisoners.
